The Godfather DVD Review
The Godfather DVD Review
Few movies have captured the attention of an audience and left as many lasting memories as The Godfather. Little needs to be said of the movie, its prestige and renown precede it. It is simply a classic, a masterpiece of American filmmaking. It's raw, it's brutal, it's deadly, and it's still oh so much fun to watch.
Paramount Pictures has released a pricey but well worth it DVD collection of the Godfather movies appropriately titled, "The Godfather DVD Collection." It's can't get much more straightforward than that, and if you want to live, you had better be straightforward with the Corleone family at all times. The movies all together on the DVD weigh in at a hefty time of 700 minutes, that's over eleven and a half hours for the mathematically challenged, meaning that you might want to put aside a weekend if you plan on watching all the movies at once.
The DVD captures all of the excellence and gritty drama of the crime family epic in great fashion. Most of the movie has been digitally restored and the quality is quite good, however certain parts of the movie still reveal the age of the movie. There are a few specks and particulate here and there throughout the movie, and a couple scenes look like they might be able to use a little more work and were a little behind in terms of quality, but overall the movie translated to DVD form extremely well.
The extras are what really ices the cake for this DVD collection of The Godfather. The Francis Ford Coppola commentaries alone that are included with the DVD weigh in at over 9 hours. That is absolutely unheard of, but the DVD still offers much more material than that. A family tree, galleries, behind the scenes, and more are all included as bonus features. There are also quite a few deleted scenes that were included for the viewer's pleasure. Needless to say, all of this bonus material only enhances the experience known as The Godfather.
The Godfather DVD Collection is definitely a bit pricey, coming in at just over $100 in most cases, but considering that includes over eleven and a half hours of film and even more bonus footage and materials, the DVD is well worth it for The Godfather fans. For anyone looking to revisit The Godfather and enjoy all that the classic has to offer or even for those who never had the joy of watching all of The Godfather movies, this DVD is a great choice and is highly recommended.

Controversy Factors Take Over the US Masters
Controversy has taken over the US Masters in the past few weeks; to begin with we have the Masters officials lengthening of Augusta National Golf Club, making it one of the hardest courses to play in now. The organizers state that the whole point in stretching the par course from 7,290 yards to 7,445 yards is to keep up with technology advances in the players' equipment.
Now the players are raising doubts whether or not the last changes on the field have gone too far too quickly. Some of us might even wonder if this change in the length just made the Augusta course too advantageous for the long hitters, this reduces the possible winners to about 10 players.
And to add up to the length of the filed controversy stress a hot and dry, weather delays have eased woes in seven of the past eight years. Monday's opening practice round for the year's first major championship came with predictions for warm and sunny weather with only a slight chance of rain on Saturday, dream conditions for making Augusta's undulating greens faster and therefore more difficult.
But at least wet greens allow approach shots to stick onto the tricky trademark putting surfaces of Augusta National. Hot and dry weather promises pavement-like putting surfaces with amazing curves and twists.
Players wise, Woods' arrival eased worries he might miss the Masters because of his father's poor health. Now that he is at Augusta National, rivals are looking for a way to stop him from an unprecedented second back-to-back Masters title.

Stance and swing 7 tips for better golf power
Golf is a sport that requires you to correct and change things with almost every shot in search of the perfect shot.
So many things come into the perfect shot that for one person to master them all can take a lifetime so we all need to take and find advice where we can, reading can never take the place of playing a round or two but when you are unable to get to the course then learning is the next best thing, here are a few tips that I hope will improve your power and accuracy which in tern will improve your game.
1. If you are looking at a golfer who is swaying on his downswing them you are really looking at an average golfer, Your hips should move in a slightly lateral movement and start the club down, the right arm needs to be tighter into the body, all this should remove the swaying on your downswing and increase your power.
2. Stop flipping your hands it is an annoying and bad habit that you will need to stop if you are going to take full advantage of the stored energy, keep your hands cocked you get a nice bit of lag.
3. One problem that golfers slip into are having their hands too high at the finish, this undoes a lot of good work from your good stance, robs you of power and produces a week finish. You need to allow your body to come through naturally have your hips rotated over your left leg and allow your right heal to come off the ground.
4. If you understand how your shoulders turn then it might get you thinking about it when you take your shot and the proper shoulder turn can improve power and accuracy in your golf game. If you are thinking that it is the length of your back swing that gives you the power you are wrong, you are after a stretch in your backswing, as this will create a coil effect. The power then comes on the downswing when you release that entire muscle coil that you have created.
5. If your chin is going to rest on your chin when you are addressing the ball you are never going to be able to swing your left arm across your body during the backswing. If the natural path is blocked then you must find another way around to complete the swing and this will cause you to make other mistakes like little or no weight shift to your right hand side this in turn causes a narrow backswing. You will then chop through the ball rather than sweeping through it, do just one simple mistake can cause all those problems, and at least it is a simple one to cure.
6. Impact indicator this is a great product that you spray onto your golf club head that lets you see where the ball and club are meeting, then you can adjust your stance and swing until you are constantly able to find the sweet spot.
Are you too heavy handed, pushing your tee too far into the ground can cause the ball to sit too low and this means that you then tend to hit the ball to high. The good news it that this is a simple problem to solve and the improvement to your game is immediate. Raise the tee the so that half the golf ball is over the top of the driver head.
